This blog is really a journal of my journey into the world of art. I have no formal art training and have not done much more than doodle since I was a kid. But I am learning that art is an important aspect that has been missing from my life. Thanks to some wonderful extremely artistic friends in the fountain pen world and on Twitter I have begun this journey - thanks, Mia, for insisting that everyone is an artist!

Book of Days 9
I recently received a set of Sakura Gelly Roll Moonlight pens from Jetpens.com. I have used other Gelly Roll pens in the past and have always been pleased with their performance, but the one place that they failed (with the exception of the white) is on black paper. Well, here is the solution, these pens are amazing, beautiful vibrant color and they perform just as well on white paper, too.

Nice colors and details! Have you tried the souffle pens? I imagine they will do well on dark papers as well.
I only have one souffle pen - in white. It does not work very well on black paper, I'm not sure about the others.
Have you looked at your drawing under a black (UV) light?
