This blog is really a journal of my journey into the world of art. I have no formal art training and have not done much more than doodle since I was a kid. But I am learning that art is an important aspect that has been missing from my life. Thanks to some wonderful extremely artistic friends in the fountain pen world and on Twitter I have begun this journey - thanks, Mia, for insisting that everyone is an artist!

Dragonflies
I got my quilling kit this past week and have been anxious to try it out. My first attempt produced these two dragonflies - I really like dragonflies.

Ooh, pretty!!
Look at you, multi-talented, multi-arting lady!! I've been a bit stressed, but DD23 will pack her moving van tomorrow and leave Sunday. I've got big plans for my room!!
How are you and Artoo? I have been praying for him. How are the shoes and braces working out?
nooooo - Artoo belongs to Laura over at http://iamthedivaczt.blogspot.com/ - I don't know how she does it, but he is a cutie, isn't he?
OOh. You got the quilling bug!I have been having SO much fun with my Klutz kit, and watching Elena over at Mailart365... I think we can quill anything! Hope you are enjoying it. It's always fun to try something new!
After seeing Elen'a creations I HAD to check it out. I had never heard of quilling before - it's cool and actually very relaxing.
mmmmmmm, quilling - I had many happy times with that as a teenager and seeing your lovely dragonflies inspired me :-) Enjoy! Loving the Zentangles too.
Wow, those are cool! I like the quilled cross, too. Very elegant. I'm going to have to look into this quilling thing.
