You did a fantastic job with the sketch in the lower right corner!

Have you ever tried sketching with a looser medium? Pastel or even one or two watercolors with waterbrush.

You might find it easier to capture the expressions you want if you can break away from the tightness inherent with drawing. Even a brush pen might help. It seems odd that less control can sometimes bring more realism, but it's true.

That's the one G liked too. I plan to try watercolor for both of The Akits. Sketchbook is just easier to just pick up. Plus it's good practice

Love the detail in the fur in the sketch on the lower right. "Practice, practice, practice!"

To answer your question (I tried to email, but it bounced), my birthday is Nov. 23, next Wednesday! 60 - yikes!!
