This blog is really a journal of my journey into the world of art.
I have no formal art training and have not done much more than doodle since I was a kid. But I am learning that art is an important aspect that has been missing from my life.
Thanks to some wonderful extremely artistic friends in the fountain pen world and on Twitter I have begun this journey - thanks, Mia, for insisting that everyone is an artist!

Watercolor and Roses
I have a lovely apricot colored tea rose called Just Joey. It has a heavenly scent and it currently blooming - not a ton of blossoms, but enough to go out and try to capture them...
Beautiful! I love the looseness and the way one rose merges with the other.
The photo is much darker on my monitor, but the colors are much the same. The biggest difference is that the background on the scan is white and the photo's is gray.

Love your juicy loose roses... can't tell much difference between the photo and the scan... so on my monitor either one works.
love the colors! - kp
