I got a new book...

I just received my copy of The New Encyclopedia of Watercolor Techniques: A Step-by-step Visual Directory, with an Inspirational Gallery of Finished Works - Diana Craig (Author), Hazel Harrison (Author), so I set out to read and play.

This is the result - I'm happy with it.

This is on a watercolor postcard, so it will go out in the mail sometime in the near future.

 

What I've Been Up To

The three above are in my new Stillman and Birn Zeta Series sketchbook. I'm fairly happy with Kota and Jewlz' portraits, not so happy with the flower in the third photo.

 This is an underpainting for a work in progress in my Moleskine watercolor notebook.

I finished my first ever pair of socks. These will be wonderfully warm come next January, but they are WAY too warm for a Florida summer.  I'm very proud of these though, they turned out much better than I had hoped.
