This blog is really a journal of my journey into the world of art.
I have no formal art training and have not done much more than doodle since I was a kid. But I am learning that art is an important aspect that has been missing from my life.
Thanks to some wonderful extremely artistic friends in the fountain pen world and on Twitter I have begun this journey - thanks, Mia, for insisting that everyone is an artist!

Very bad sketch done at the Ikea store - there is just too much stuff in there
Thank you for sharing this! There are no bad sketches. The alternative would have been to procrastinate, and maybe miss the opportunity all together. That would have been so much worse!
Not very bad at all! But you're very brave for showing something you feel less than happy with. It's refreshing to see and helps me feel better about my less-than-perfect work. :)

I know - some things are just easily I guess and it all adds to the cumulative practice and knowledge that I take with me into the next sketch.
