I reverted to my favorite sketchbook for these - Stillman and Birn. This is the Zeta Series.
This blog is really a journal of my journey into the world of art. I have no formal art training and have not done much more than doodle since I was a kid. But I am learning that art is an important aspect that has been missing from my life. Thanks to some wonderful extremely artistic friends in the fountain pen world and on Twitter I have begun this journey - thanks, Mia, for insisting that everyone is an artist!

Kota AEDM
My proportions are still a little off but I'm not horrified by this one. Please remember that his face is mostly black.

It has been a slow week
I think after completing the 75 Sketches in 75 Days challenge, I was just a little burnt out.
Monday I had Jury Duty. I spent most of the day reading, but we had a good view from the Justice Center of the Pink Palace, which is a historical hotel downtown. I only managed to capture some of the building.
Last weekend I found a Zebra Longwing in the driveway. So I saved him/her and spread his wings to dry. Today I took a photo and began a sketch.
I began a sketch of my beer. But the bottle was off from the beginning... a well, it still tasted really good.
Oh, I forgot to tell you. My Artistic License arrived, from Brenda Swenson, for completing the 75 Sketches Challenge. Thanks Brenda.
All of the above were done with my Namiki Falcon FP SF, Platinum Carbon Black in my Monsieur Sketchbook.

75 in 75 #72 and #73
Well, just two more to go - guess I'll have to find a new challenge. Of course, November is Art Every Day Month, so I guess that will be the next challenge.
I started the sketch on top late (very late) last night and was just too tired, so you only get part of my desk and just some of the stuff.

75 in 75 #71
I know that technically that this is not a sketch.
I was testing some new watercolors, SoHo Urban Artist, and practicing negative painting.

75 in 75 #61, 62 and 63
Drawing this tiger eye and nose made me sad, because I kept thinking about all the Siberian Tigers (and other wild creatures) so horrible doomed in Zanesville yesterday.
